A few of my favorite pics from around town

My sister mocks me for being the eternal tourist in Boston.  Always seeing everything for the first time and wanting to take a picture of it....Her response  is always "YOU LIVE HERE!!!"

An Afternoon With My Niece

Highlights of today's visit:  Her sweet little voice going around the dinner table pointing and saying everyone's names (she's just starting to really speak full sentences) and listening to her say "HI BUG" to every ant/creepy crawly that went by with the same amount of excitement each time.

Rock hunting
Just LOOK at that face!!!!

Wedding of Cate and Paul

I was lucky enough to be a part of photographing Cate and Paul's wedding day.  What an amazing couple....the bride was gorgeous and the two were so comfortable and at ease with each other when they were together.  Best Wishes to Cate and Paul on their wedding day.

Traveling Around....

Recently I was going through a lot of my pictures.  I realized how lucky I have been over the past few years with getting to travel to and photograph a lot of amazing places in the world.   Here are a few pics from my travels.....

Mannekin Pis in Brussels
Mmmm....Godiva
My amazing Brussels tour guide

When you open up any travel guide for Belgium, beer is listed as the number one attraction and chocolate second.....The travel guides are spot on....well except that they could both tie for first.

Bruges is a storybook town that everyone MUST visit while in Belgium.
Farmers Market in Lille
The plaza in Lille at night
These "angel and demon babies" were a temporary exhibit lining the streets of Lille...made only scarier by rain and the "moonlight."
Sunset in Avignon
We were lucky enough to be in Prague for Euro Cup.
Not much left in post war in Dresden but there are a few really beautiful old buildings surrounded by gardens and fountains.
Holocaust Memorial in Berlin....Each block represents a concentration camp and the sizes of the blocks are proportionate to the number of people lost there.
One of the remaining portions of the Berlin Wall

I volunteered in a nursery school while I was in Tanzania and here a couple of pictures of the kids (I have about a million more).

A church in Zanzibar blazing in the sun.
We day hiked to the first hut on Kiliminjaro....AMAZING.  Someday I hope to make it to the top.  Hopefully before the glaciers have melted.
I thought this picture of a mosque and church side by side was a perfect example of the diverse religious population of Zanzibar
The Massai tribe
This guy was not shy.  He got very close.
It took 18 people holding hands to reach all the way around the tree.
On the road to Ngorongoro Crater
In Lake Manyara
Ziplining in Costa Rica
Arenal Volcano in La Fortuna
Bright sunshine in Manuel Antonio
Notre Dame at night
Does this one really need a caption?
