Hanna's Hearts of Hope for the Make a Wish Foundation

At age 7, Hanna was diagnosed Burkitt's Lyphoma, a very rate and aggressive form of cancer. Doctors gave her less than 2 weeks to live and started chemotherapy treatment right away. She endured months of chemotherapy and beat the disease. The Make-A-Wish Foundation granted her wish to go to Disney World a few months later and her and her family had an amazing time.

Having successfully beat cancer, Hanna became determined to make sure that all sick kids could have their wishes granted. She began to make and sell heart shaped necklaces made out of walnuts and melted crayons. To date, she has already raised over $30,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Today, Hanna was honored with a Heroes Among Us award from the Boston Celtics organization in a ceremony at the State House. She was interviewed by both Channel 7 and Channel 5 news who both ran stories on her charity this evening. Hanna-Your charity and giving spirit are both amazing and an inspiration to all of us.

Congratulations Hanna. You truly are a HERO among us.

WPI portrait session

I grew up in Auburn, right next to Worcester so you would think I would be really familiar with the WPI campus. But today I saw a part of the campus I had never seen before..... actually turns out I don't think I've ever been off the main roads and entered the campus. Inside the gates are lots of green grass and beautiful gardens. Perfect spot for a portrait session. Slideshow of today's session coming soon.......

A quick photo shoot before the little guy arrives....

Last Sunday I headed up to Beverly to do a little maternity shoot for my good friend Byron from college and snap a few pics of her two girls. We had such a good time catching up and the girls are going to make great big sisters in a couple of weeks when new little brother arrives. Here's a quick peek at a couple of the shots we got.

A QUICK visit to San Diego

I was recently lucky enough to get back to San Diego for a brief visit. I was sooooooooo happy to be there and see everyone but at the same time the visit was just a tease. I miss my friends so much and even though I wouldn't trade anything for the quick visit I had with everyone....it just made me miss them more. I'm already planning my next trip back.

I was able to spend a few hours with one of my best friends Alecia...... I hadn't seen her since her first son Ryder was just under 3 months old (he's almost 2) and now she has a new son Sawyer already nearing that age. We didn't do a formal photo shoot with posing and lighting but I couldn't leave my camera in the bag....i HAD to snap a few of the little guys while I was there.

Here's a little peek at Alecia and Cris' adorable kids.......
